The Mi-ki is known as an intelligent, playful, and affectionate toy-sized companion.  Activity level is low to medium, with a nice even temperament - ideal candidates for therapy work with the elderly.  Mi-kis are steady, calm and quiet dogs, which makes them really stand out amongst the tiny breeds.  Not at all yappy.  They possess a high degree of intelligence, and do very well with obedience training.  The Mi-ki is not prone to any particular health conditions.  Happy dogs, they love everyone - family and strangers alike.  They love to play with cat toys (just their size) and will be seen pouncing and swatting at these, similar as you'd see a kitten playing.  Mi-kis do exceptionally well with children, as they have a high degree of patience and tolerance.  They fit well into any size home, right down to a condo or apartment.  Not only are their exercise needs minimal, but they can easily be trained to a litter box.  The Mi-ki loves walks, car rides, and can even be slipped into the purse while going out shopping etc.  They are always happiest when with you!
